2014 Matters: Introduction to People, Planet and Scotland’s Future

A series of events are being held around Scotland this month, supported by Friends of the Earth Scotland on the referendum, the environment and social justice.  Two of these will be in Dundee.  The first is a workshop event:

An introduction to Scottish politics and what the referendum on Scottish independence has to do with social and environmental justice.

This will build up to a larger event on 22 Feb.:

 2014 Matters: power, poverty and inequality in a changing world, will be from 4.30 – 6pm on Saturday February 22, at the Hannah McLure Centre on Bell Street. Speakers will include Katherine Trebeck from Oxfam, Anas Sarwar MP, deputy leader of the Scottish Labour Party, Alex Renton, award-winning journalist specialising in poverty and international development and Polly Jones from WDM.
